The Jacobite Steam Train journey is one of the top train journeys in the UK, it captures the magnificent highland scenery as you pass through green valleys a blue lochs.
The journey stats in Fort William in the shadow of Ben Nevis and ends in Mallaig which is the entry point to the Isle of Skye. The highlight of the journey is arguably the Glenfinnan Viaduct which many people will recognise from the Harry Potter films.
You get to spend some time in Mallaig before your return trip to Fort William, or you can get the ferry across to Skye and continue the exploration of the highlands on your own time.
