Inverness is the top shopping destinations in the Highlands of Scotland. There are a few shops scattered on the high street, such as Woolworths and Waterstones and indeed all the main shops are around the city centre.
There are a couple of good indoor options, one being the Victorian market in Old Town which offers specialist shops and traditional merchants. The main one is the Eastgate centre which has 2 levels and over 60 shops, including HMV, Debenhams and a food court.
A couple of miles away from the city is the Inverness Retail Park, sitting opposite the Inverness Caledonian Thistle football ground. Here you will find a large Tesco, a Vue Cinema and Boarders bookshop. It is possible to catch a bus here from the city centre, they run quite frequently.
