Airport

Inverness Airport is 9.5 miles to the North-East of the city centre and although there arent any international flights, it does service routes for the highlands and islands, Dublin, Edinburgh, Manchester and Birmingham, and many daily flights to London. To get to and from the airport you can catch a Taxi for around £10 - £15 to/from the city and there is now a direct airport shuttle bus service which runs every 30 minutes and costs £2.90 to the city.

Train Station

The train station is located in city centre just a few meteres away from the main shopping centre and it provides a link to all the main areas in Scotland. There are direct trains to the smaller towns of Thurso and Wick in the North and also direct routes to three of Scotlands cities, Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Perth. You can also catch a connection at Perth to Glasgow and there is the Highlands Sleeper which runs a direct service to London which takes around 8 hours.

Bus Service

The bus station is right next to the train station in the city centre and there are direct services to the mains cities and outlying towns. The two main companies are CityLink, Rapsons and Stagecoach with a budget service to Edinburgh and London also avaiable through Megabus from only £ 3.50 and £17 respectivley. There is also a city sightseeing bus which cost £6 and leaves from the Tourist Information Centre, it lasts 1hr 45min.
